Drop-In Land & Aqua Fitness Classes

Foothills group exercise classes offer energizing, easy-to-follow routines in a positive, supportive, and fun setting. Attend a class today…here’s how:

Buy a pass, take a class — All group exercise/aqua fitness classes are included with annual passes
Multi-visit cards — Purchase a 12 or 24 punch pass, good for one drop-in admission!
Daily Drop In Fee — Pay by the day, allows you to ‘test drive’ our programs first!
CLASS LEVELS:
1 - Limited range of motion, post rehab, chronic conditions
2 - Beginning exerciser, apparently healthy, no restrictions
3 - Advanced exerciser, apparently healthy

Stretch (1, 2, 3) - Lower stress and increase flexibility with this class for all levels.
SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength (1, 2) - Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a SilverSneakers® ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit (2) - Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers® ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.
Fit For Life (2) - This total body combination of strength training and low impact aerobics is suitable for all ages to improve endurance and strength.
Stability Ball-Core Conditioning (2, 3) - Using stability balls, this class will guide you to train the deeper, supporting muscles of the body for improved posture, balance and coordination.
Step-N-Strength (2, 3) - This energetic class combines step aerobics and strength training. You are guaranteed to work up a great sweat while moving to the beat.
Cardio Challenge (2, 3) - Target heart rate at its best! You will be in the 60-80% zone for 25-40 minutes!
Body Lift (2, 3) - This group barbell class will strengthen your whole body by challenging all major muscle groups with dynamic, functional moves including squats, lunges, presses – all set to upbeat music.
Aeroboxing (3) - Rev up your energy and increase your cardio fitness with this combination of upper and lower body moves and circuit training! Higher intensity for continuing exercisers.
Jump Start (3) - Rev up your engine with this supercharged class that is high energy and versatile: Hi-Lo, Step, Circuit and more!

Aqua classes:
Deep Water (2, 3) - Tone your muscles and increase your strength with a variety of exercises designed for a deep water workout.
Splash Aerobics (2, 3) - Improve cardiovascular endurance and increase muscle tone as you exercise with a variety of equipment including noodles and water dumbbells. Water shoes are highly recommended.
Warm water classes:
Moving 4 Life (1, 2) - Enjoy the soothing support of water as you exercise to improve joint stability and range of motion in the therapy pool.
Poolates (2, 3) - Improve muscle strength and core stability utilizing the resistance of water and a series of land-based exercises modified to maximize the benefits of water. All levels are welcome!
Water Walking:
Stay fit by water walking at the Ridge Recreation Center. Use the Current Channel for resistance or utilize the Warm Water Therapy Pool, good for treatment of injuries and arthritis. View the Aquatics Class Schedules for water walking hours.
